Our angels have just returned from a trip to Newmarket Ontario for the Rebecca Run for SMA. The event was a big success, raising over 150 thousand dollars to help fight this devastating disorder.
It was wonderful to see the Provoost family, the Loebach family, and others too numerous to name. And of course, Rebecca! It was also great meeting families from Canada that we did not know before but now consider friends. We shared not only a lot of laughs but a few tears as well.
A big THANK YOU to Louise and everyone for inviting us to be a part of this event. We plan to make this a yearly event until a cure is found. Please visit their web site at www.rebeccarun.com for more information about the race.
On a personal note, Canada is a GREAT country to visit!
Friendly people, beautiful country, clean parks for camping. What more could you ask. Highly recommended!

Walk - N - Roll
Our angels were in Cincinnati on April 29 for the SMA Walk - N - Roll on the campus of Xavier University. The quilt was on display and a small 'Mystic Bears Quilt' was won in a raffle by Rachel Phillips of Cincinnati Ohio. I will post pictures soon.
At this time our next scheduled road trip will be to Canada for Rebecca's Run on July 7. We'll keep you posted.
Have wings, will travel!

Our angels have been very busy lately flying here and there displaying the quilt. Got wings, will travel ! ! ! !
On February 25th they were at the 'SMA Night to Remember' in Vandalia Ohio for the activities, dinner, and silent auction. A basket was donated in the Angel Wings Awareness Quilt's name for the auction which included a set of tea towels embroidered with 'Days of the Week Angels' donated by Patricia of Vintage Machine Embroidery. It really was a night to remember.
The angels were off again this past weekend, the 10th, 11th, and 12th of March to Columbus Ohio for 'Angels at the Endzone' with the Miracle for Madison Foundation. As well as displaying the quilt, we were able to donate a baby quilt to the auction that was made with beautiful Sunbonnet Girl designs donated by Betty Cauthen of Betty's Sunset Threads before she, herself, became an angel from liver cancer in 2004. Betty and Bill's generosity made the quilt possible.
Keep watching to see where our little angels will und up next.
